Situated in the centre of the village of Hartland, in the beautiful North Devon countryside, the pottery is a working studio and gallery. Sarah throws and fires her pots here and visitors can see all of the processes involved along the way. Her whole collection is displayed and available to purchase.
the location
The Hartland peninsula is an exceptional place. It has some of the most dramatic coastline in the United Kingdom. The village of Hartland has several pubs, shops, a café, a takeaway and free parking 100 yards away from the pottery. There is a wide range of accommodation and plenty of things to do and see. It is a unique place with a strong welcoming community too.
the shop
There is a full range of pots here for you to chose from, from mugs and jugs to bread crocs and cheese dishes. You are welcome to handle the pots, as it is such a tactile medium, and the only way to see if it is just the right piece for you is to pick it up and feel it. All of the pots are ovenproof and microwave safe.
The pottery is open all year around but it is advisable to ring ahead to confirm hours if you are making a special trip.
